Christian’s Dad is the world biggest Golf enthusiast! We put Christian on a golf course in Holland to play so that we could get photos to frame for Father’s Day. I am so happy with how they turned out, it looks like Christian is going to love the sport too!

Aguas Azules means Blue Waters in Spanish . . . and Aguas Negras means Black Waters. When arriving in the Dominican Republic as a tourist you will only see blue waters ~ but the inability to drink the water due to the probability of getting a water-borne illness and spending your vacation with intense cramping, pain, diarrhea, dehydration, and not wanting to move to get off the floor is just a hint of the deeper problems faced by local, poor Dominicans. I visited and experienced seeing beautiful, blue, ocean waters and then seeing Aguas Negras, a barrio (slum) in the Dominican Republic named for its dirty water. This image is two merged – the one on the left is a view from the plane of the coast of the Dominican – the view that most tourists see – never knowing the view on the right; the reality the poor people of the Dominican are faced with every day.
Cameile is almost 2 years old and ADORABLE!
We just finished the photoshoot and the weather was absolutely beautiful – even warm! Which was incredibly lucky since it is mid-November. We went to a park in Birmingham and then to downtown Birmingham for our photoshoot – - The combination of a park and an urban area in one shoot makes for a nice variety of photos – and helps to keep a 2 year old occupied!

It looks like pet photography is becoming a regular thing for me! Which is great, I absolutely love pets. In this case it is Lisa and David and their two dogs : ) We had a lot of fun – and the weather was absolutely beautiful.

This shoot was a blast! Ceasar (the brindle colored one) and Spot (the all black one! He has a tiny white spot on his body) were hilarious. Ceaser would let out these funny barks when we would try to position him, but he would still let us do it. And Spot, well he’s afraid of cameras. When Christina booked the shoot she warned me ahead of time that Spot runs and hides whenever someone takes a picture of him. So, I met him with my camera on, gave him treats with my camera on, and took photos without flash. Voila! The dog’s a model!
Check out the favorites!

So they aren’t smiling – but I love this photo anyway. Seth and Payton’s facial expressions show such individuality in this photo, even though they are identical twins.
I had to crawl on the ground to get this perspective – though any excuse to lounge around in the grass is a good one : )

I just finished photographing Kieana and her beautiful family. Cameron, her son (pictured here) is about to be a big brother! He started to fidget during the shoot, so to get him to smile I’d say – “Cameron – you’re going to be a big brother!!” and other phrases to that effect – - every time his eyes would light up and he’d get the biggest grin : )

For Ben and Elaine’s engagement shoot, we ran around Belle Isle, Detroit, MI which was a blast. I highly recommend the area for shoots. I’m photographing their wedding this May in Puerto Rico!

Christian was born August 25, 2009 at 11:48 AM weighing 7 lb, 7 ounces : ) Photos of the new mom and baby were put together as an anniversary gift for Christian’s father ~ what a great idea!
